In 2004 Kingsview will host its our fifth annual basketball tournament and barbecue. This community day has become a hallmark of Kingsview’s bridge-building ministry. Each Canada Day the church draws basketball teams from all over Etobicoke for a day of exciting competition.

Over three hundred people attend this event each year. Community leaders including our police come to take part and to give out awards to the participants. A big barbecue is held for all of the neighbours. This event receives tremendous participation from our Somali neighbours in particular, since Somali Day coincides with Canada Day.
