One Christian writer (E.M. Bounds) stated: “Prayer is not preparation for
the battle; prayer is the battle.”
Kingsview Free Methodist Church is involved in a variety of ministries to
different groups in the congregation (e.g., children, youth, the elderly,
those who are in nursing homes), as well as several outreach ministries in
the community, the city of Toronto (Hoops Unlimited, prison ministry, new
congregation developments), and around the world. As we reach out to show
God’s love and share the Gospel with others, we are engaging in a spiritual
battle. Without prayer coverage and support, these valuable ministries will
be vulnerable to attack, and may not be as effective as they could be. So,
we hold Intercessory Prayer meetings every Monday evening at 7:00 in order to
pray for the ministries and the ministry staff of the church, and the people
whose lives are touched by them.
We also offer prayer ministry during the Sunday Worship Service, for those
who go to the altar, or who come forward after the service.
Also, for those who are curious about prayer ministry, or interested in becoming
involved in our ongoing prayer ministry, we conduct educational seminars several
times throughout the year.
